Bannerman Road School was the first completely
new school built in Bristol for 30 years. The new school
comprises administration offices, staff rooms, Hall, 8 new
classrooms, 2 reception classrooms, Halal kitchen and ancillary
accommodation.
Specialist mechanical ventilation systems via attenuated
air paths were installed in order to reduce noise interference
from the adjacent railway line.
Underfloor heating was provided for the hall and reception
classrooms and ancillary areas were heated via low surface
temperature radiators.
